Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Minneapolis Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest concentrations of Non-Hispanic Black residents, exceeding 30-50%, cluster in north Minneapolis zip codes and extend northward into Brooklyn Park, forming a distinct corridor that contrasts sharply with the predominantly low-percentage areas in western suburbs like Plymouth, Maple Grove, and Eden Prairie. A secondary concentration appears in central Minneapolis near the downtown core, where at least one zip code reaches the highest tier on the scale. The outer-ring suburbs to the east, south, and west—including Woodbury, Eagan, and Eden Prairie—consistently fall below 10%, underscoring a stark spatial divide in the metro's Black population distribution.
