Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Tampa Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest concentrations of Non-Hispanic Black residents, exceeding 50%, cluster in zip codes just north and east of downtown Tampa as well as in south St. Petersburg, forming two distinct nodes of Black population density on opposite sides of Tampa Bay. Much of the suburban periphery—particularly the southern portions of Hillsborough County, the Gulf beach communities, and areas around Largo and Pinellas Park—registers below 5-10%, creating a stark contrast with the urban core. The pattern suggests persistent residential segregation, with majority-Black zip codes sharply bounded by neighboring areas where Black residents comprise a small fraction of the population.
