U.S. Citizens (% of Population Over 18) by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Minneapolis Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Zip codes in the northern and northeastern portions of the metro, particularly above Brooklyn Park and extending toward the outer suburban ring, consistently display U.S. citizenship rates at or near 100%, while central Minneapolis and several St. Paul zip codes drop to the 80–85% range, reflecting higher concentrations of non-citizen immigrant populations. The lowest citizenship percentages, dipping below 80%, cluster in a corridor stretching from south-central Minneapolis through parts of Bloomington and into Eagan, likely corresponding to zip codes with significant refugee and immigrant communities. Outer-ring suburbs such as Eden Prairie, Plymouth, Maple Grove, and Woodbury generally fall in the 90–95% range, positioning them between the high-citizenship exurban areas and the lower-citizenship urban core.
