U.S. Citizens (% of Population Over 18) by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Detroit Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The Dearborn area and several zip codes in central Detroit display notably lower U.S. citizenship rates among adults, falling below 80–85%, consistent with these areas' well-established immigrant communities, particularly the large Arab American population in Dearborn. Outer suburban zip codes to the northwest, west, and northeast—including areas around Livonia, Westland, Sterling Heights, and St. Clair Shores—generally report citizenship rates above 95%, creating a pronounced core-to-periphery gradient. A few scattered zip codes near Farmington Hills and north of Sterling Heights also dip into the low 90s or upper 80s, suggesting smaller pockets of foreign-born residents in select suburban communities.
