Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Massachusetts

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest concentrations of Non-Hispanic Black residents in Massachusetts are sharply clustered in the Greater Boston area, particularly in zip codes corresponding to Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, and Brockton, where percentages reach 40–55% or higher. A secondary but notably smaller cluster appears in the Springfield area in western Massachusetts, with a few zip codes reaching approximately 20–30%. The vast majority of the state—including Cape Cod, the Pioneer Valley's rural areas, and the Berkshires—registers below 5%, underscoring a pronounced spatial concentration of the Black population within a handful of urban cores.
