Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Ohio

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Ohio's Non-Hispanic Black population is heavily concentrated in the major metropolitan cores, with the highest percentages (50–100%) clustered in zip codes within Cleveland's east side, parts of Columbus's east and south neighborhoods, Cincinnati's urban core, Dayton, Akron, Toledo, and Youngstown. Outside these urban centers, the vast majority of the state registers below 5%, creating a stark urban-rural demographic divide. The spatial pattern also reveals that even within metro areas, the distribution is highly uneven, with adjacent zip codes often shifting from majority-Black to near-zero percentages, reflecting persistent residential segregation patterns across Ohio's cities.
