Household Median Income by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Seattle Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest household median incomes, exceeding $125,000, concentrate heavily on the Eastside corridor through Kirkland, Redmond, and Bellevue, as well as in the outer eastern and northeastern suburban zip codes. A striking income gradient runs north-south through Seattle proper, with wealthier zip codes in the north giving way to markedly lower-income areas in the south, particularly around Tacoma and Lakewood where median incomes drop below $50,000. The central urban core of Seattle and the industrial valley running through Kent and Renton form a visible lower-income spine flanked by more affluent suburban areas on both sides.
