Household Median Income by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Houston Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest household median incomes in the Houston metro concentrate in a western arc stretching from Sugar Land northward through Katy and up to The Woodlands, with many zip codes exceeding $125,000. A stark contrast emerges in the urban core and areas south and southeast of downtown Houston, where zip codes clustered around the Pasadena corridor and inner-city neighborhoods register median incomes below $40,000, forming a pronounced low-income band. Friendswood and League City stand out as moderate-to-high income pockets on the metro's southeastern fringe, interrupting an otherwise lower-income stretch along the Gulf-facing edge.
