Most of Maryland's zip codes report high school graduation rates above 85%, with the highest concentrations of 95%+ rates appearing across the rural western panhandle, northern Baltimore County suburbs, and portions of the Eastern Shore. Notable pockets of lower attainment—dropping below 70%—cluster in parts of Baltimore City, select Prince George's County zip codes, and a few isolated areas on the lower Eastern Shore near Salisbury and Somerset County. The central Maryland corridor between Washington, D.C., and Baltimore exhibits the most pronounced spatial variability, with affluent suburban zip codes at near-universal attainment sitting adjacent to urban cores with significantly depressed rates.
