Married Couple (% of all Households) by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Seattle Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Married-couple households concentrate most heavily in the eastern suburbs, with zip codes around Redmond, Sammamish, and the plateau east of Bellevue reaching 70–80% of all households, while central Seattle—particularly Capitol Hill, the University District, and downtown—drops below 30%. A secondary cluster of lower married-couple shares appears around Tacoma's urban core and Lakewood, contrasting sharply with the more suburban and rural periphery to the south and west where rates climb back above 50%. This east-suburban versus urban-core gradient is the dominant spatial pattern, with Renton and Kent occupying a transitional band in the 40–50% range.
