Housing Median Monthly Rent ($), by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Seattle Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Median monthly rents peak above $2,250 in the Eastside communities of Kirkland, Redmond, and portions of Bellevue, forming a distinct high-rent corridor east of Lake Washington that extends into the northeastern suburbs. By contrast, the lowest rents—often below $1,000—cluster tightly around the Tacoma waterfront and industrial areas south of downtown Seattle, with pockets of similarly depressed rents visible near Lakewood and along the southern reaches of Puget Sound. A clear north-south gradient emerges west of the lake, where Seattle proper sits in a moderate $1,500–$1,750 band that transitions sharply to lower-rent zones moving southward through Renton and Kent toward Tacoma.
