Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Austin Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest concentrations of non-Hispanic Black residents in the Austin metro, reaching approximately 15–20%, cluster in the eastern zip codes stretching from Pflugerville southward through east Austin, forming a distinct east-side corridor that contrasts sharply with the western half of the metro. Zip codes west of downtown Austin, including Cedar Park and the Hill Country fringe, consistently fall below 5%, reflecting long-standing patterns of residential segregation along the I-35 divide. Georgetown and the northern exurban zip codes similarly show low percentages, generally under 10%, though Round Rock's eastern zip codes begin to mirror the elevated shares seen in the Pflugerville area.
