Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Atlanta Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The southern and southeastern portions of the Atlanta metro area exhibit the highest concentrations of Non-Hispanic Black residents, with many zip codes exceeding 50% and several approaching near-total predominance, while the northern suburbs—particularly around Alpharetta, Roswell, and Sandy Springs—generally fall below 20%. A sharp demographic boundary is visible running roughly east-west through central Atlanta, separating the predominantly Black south side from the more diverse or lower-percentage north side. The western suburbs near Smyrna and west of Marietta display moderate-to-high percentages in the 30–60% range, suggesting a transitional zone between the stark north-south contrast.
