Median Age by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Houston Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The Houston metro exhibits a clear core-periphery age gradient, with younger median ages concentrated in the urban core and near-southeast areas—particularly around Pasadena and several zip codes east of downtown, where median ages dip into the low-to-mid 20s. Outer suburban communities to the northwest, west, and south, including areas near The Woodlands, Katy, and Sugar Land, trend notably older, with median ages frequently reaching the mid-40s to low 50s. A few isolated zip codes within the inner loop and near the Medical Center/university areas also register distinctly low median ages, likely reflecting student and young professional populations.
