Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Philadelphia Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest concentrations of Non-Hispanic Black residents, exceeding 50% and often surpassing 80%, cluster in West and Southwest Philadelphia zip codes extending south toward Chester, as well as in select zip codes near Trenton and in parts of Camden County on the New Jersey side. Surrounding suburban areas in all directions—particularly the northwestern exurbs, the far southern Delaware County periphery, and much of Bucks and outer Montgomery counties—register below 5%, creating a stark core-periphery contrast. A secondary cluster of moderate Black population shares (15–30%) appears in several zip codes east of Camden and near Willingboro in Burlington County, suggesting historically established communities distinct from the primary Philadelphia urban core.
