Population Non-Hispanic American Indian % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Virginia

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The vast majority of Virginia zip codes have Non-Hispanic American Indian populations below 1%, reflected in the predominantly deep purple shading across the state. Scattered zip codes with modestly elevated concentrations (roughly 1–5%) appear in central Virginia, parts of the Tidewater/Hampton Roads region, and select areas of the northern Shenandoah Valley, likely corresponding to communities near state-recognized tribal lands such as those of the Pamunkey, Mattaponi, and Monacan nations. The Eastern Shore peninsula also displays a few lighter-shaded zip codes, contrasting with the uniformly low percentages found across most of southwestern Virginia.
