Median Age by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Tampa Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Coastal zip codes along the Pinellas County peninsula, particularly in the St. Petersburg and southern beach communities, skew notably older with median ages reaching into the upper 50s and 60s, while the youngest populations concentrate in central Tampa near the university area and downtown, where median ages dip below 25. The eastern portions of Hillsborough County display a broad band of moderate median ages in the 35–45 range, consistent with suburban family-oriented communities. A striking contrast exists between the yellow-shaded retirement-heavy corridors along the Gulf coast and the dark purple pockets in urban Tampa, representing a span of roughly 40 years in median age across zip codes separated by less than 20 miles.
