% of Households with Broadband Internet, by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Houston Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Broadband internet adoption in the Houston metro exhibits a clear core-periphery disparity, with several zip codes in and immediately surrounding downtown Houston falling below 65%, likely reflecting lower-income neighborhoods with significant connectivity gaps. Suburban communities such as Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Friendswood, and League City consistently reach 85–95%+ adoption, forming a high-connectivity ring around the urban core. A notable cluster of low-broadband zip codes extends south and southeast of downtown through Pasadena and into parts of the Ship Channel industrial corridor, contrasting sharply with the affluent western and northwestern suburbs that approach near-universal broadband coverage.
