Median Age by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Baltimore Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Zip codes in the southern and central portions of Baltimore City tend to skew youngest, with median ages in the low-to-mid 20s and 30s, while suburban areas to the north and northwest—particularly between Towson and the outer edges of Baltimore County—consistently register median ages in the mid-40s to upper 50s. A few scattered zip codes in the far northern tier reach median ages above 55, appearing as distinct yellow clusters that suggest concentrations of older, established communities. The western suburbs around Ellicott City and Columbia fall in a moderate range of roughly 35–45, serving as a transitional band between the younger urban core and the older outer suburbs.
