Household Median Income by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Charlotte Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Higher-income zip codes cluster prominently in the northern suburbs between Huntersville and Kannapolis, as well as in a band east of Charlotte near Concord, where median incomes reach $125,000–$150,000. Central Charlotte and the areas immediately surrounding it display notably lower median incomes, often in the $40,000–$60,000 range, creating a stark core-periphery contrast. Gastonia and the southwestern fringe of the metro also trend toward lower incomes, while scattered high-income pockets in the southeast suggest newer affluent suburban development south of the urban core.
