Population Non-Hispanic White % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — San Antonio Metro

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The San Antonio metro exhibits a pronounced core-periphery racial gradient, with the lowest Non-Hispanic White population shares (under 10%) concentrated in the south and west sides of the urban core near Von Ormy and central San Antonio, where zip codes appear in deep purple tones. Non-Hispanic White percentages increase substantially moving northward and into the outer suburban ring, with the highest concentrations (60–80%+) visible in the far northern zip codes extending toward New Braunfels and in the northeast near Schertz, as well as a notable pocket in the far northwest. This spatial pattern reflects San Antonio's historically segregated geography, where Hispanic-majority communities dominate the urban center and south side while northern suburban growth corridors attract disproportionately Non-Hispanic White populations.
