Population Non-Hispanic Black % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — New Jersey

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Zip codes with the highest concentrations of Non-Hispanic Black residents cluster in the northeastern urban corridor—particularly in and around Newark, East Orange, and Paterson—as well as in parts of central New Jersey near Trenton and southern areas around Camden, where several zip codes exceed 50%. The Shore counties and most of southern New Jersey's rural Pine Barrens region display notably low percentages, generally below 5%, creating a stark contrast with the urban centers. A secondary band of moderate representation (15–30%) extends through parts of Middlesex and Monmouth counties, suggesting suburban diversity corridors connecting the major urban clusters.
