Housing Owner-Occupied % of Units, by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Oklahoma

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Owner-occupancy rates across Oklahoma exhibit a clear urban-rural divide, with the lowest concentrations (below 50%) clustered in the central Oklahoma City metro area and the Tulsa metro region, where dense rental markets dominate core zip codes. Rural zip codes throughout western Oklahoma, the Panhandle, and much of southern and eastern Oklahoma consistently register owner-occupancy rates above 75–80%, with many exceeding 85%. Notable pockets of low owner-occupancy also appear around smaller college towns and military-adjacent communities, including areas near Stillwater, Norman, and Lawton, contrasting sharply with the surrounding high-ownership rural landscape.
