Population Non-Hispanic White % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Rhode Island

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The Providence metropolitan core exhibits the lowest Non-Hispanic White population percentages in the state, with several zip codes in and around the city falling below 40%, forming a distinct cluster of demographic diversity in the northeast-central portion of the state. Rural and suburban zip codes in the western and southern regions—particularly in areas corresponding to towns like Foster, Exeter, and South Kingstown—consistently exceed 80-90% Non-Hispanic White population, creating a sharp urban-rural gradient. Block Island and the coastal communities along the southern shore maintain high percentages comparable to the rural west, while a secondary pocket of lower percentages appears in the Central Falls and Pawtucket area just north of Providence.
