Population Non-Hispanic White % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Michigan

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The vast majority of Michigan's zip codes exhibit non-Hispanic white population shares above 80%, with particularly uniform concentrations across the northern Lower Peninsula and much of the Upper Peninsula. The most striking contrast appears in the southeast corner around the Detroit metropolitan area, where zip codes drop sharply to below 20%, creating a dense cluster of dark purple and teal tones surrounded by predominantly yellow suburban rings. Secondary pockets of greater diversity are visible around Flint, Saginaw, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo, as well as in portions of the eastern Upper Peninsula likely corresponding to Native American tribal lands.
