Population Non-Hispanic American Indian % by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — California

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Non-Hispanic American Indian population concentrations are most prominent in the rural northern counties, particularly in the far northwest near Humboldt and Del Norte counties and scattered areas of the northeastern plateau, where several zip codes exceed 15–25% representation. The vast majority of urban and suburban zip codes throughout the Central Valley, Bay Area, and Southern California register at or near 0–1%, creating a stark urban-rural divide. A few isolated inland zip codes in the central Sierra Nevada foothills and desert regions of eastern California also show moderately elevated percentages, likely corresponding to reservation lands.
