Median Age by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Idaho

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

Central Idaho's large rural zip codes display consistently high median ages in the 50–60 range, forming a prominent yellow band stretching from the Salmon River region through the upper Snake River Plain. The northern panhandle and western border areas near Boise trend younger, with median ages generally in the 30s and 40s, reflecting more urbanized and growing populations. A striking cluster of very low median ages (under 25) appears in the southeastern corner near Rexburg—home to Brigham Young University–Idaho—contrasting sharply with the surrounding older-skewing agricultural communities.
