Household Median Income by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Kansas

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest household median incomes in Kansas concentrate heavily in the Kansas City metropolitan area's Johnson County suburbs on the eastern border, where several zip codes exceed $125,000 and reach toward $150,000, creating a distinct bright yellow cluster. Western and central Kansas display broadly moderate incomes in the $40,000–$60,000 range with scattered pockets of lower income, while the south-central Wichita metro area shows significant internal variation, with affluent suburban zip codes adjacent to some of the state's lowest-income areas falling below $30,000. Notable low-income clusters also appear in the southeast corner and in isolated rural zip codes throughout the western half of the state, where dark blue tones indicate median incomes near $20,000–$30,000.
