Housing % of Units Built Since 2010, by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Kansas

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The Kansas City metropolitan fringe in the northeast corner of the state contains the highest concentration of post-2010 construction, with several zip codes exceeding 20–30%, reflecting suburban expansion in the Johnson and Wyandotte County areas. Much of western and central Kansas displays very low new construction rates, generally below 4%, consistent with population decline in rural Great Plains communities. Scattered pockets of moderate building activity (8–15%) appear around mid-sized population centers such as the Wichita metro area in south-central Kansas, Manhattan in the northeast, and a few agricultural hub towns, though these are interspersed with zip codes showing virtually no new housing development.
