Household Median Income by Zip Code (ZCTA5) — Connecticut

NOTE: Gray indicates insufficient data or a suppressed estimate.

The highest household median incomes, exceeding $150,000, concentrate in the southwestern Fairfield County corridor—particularly in zip codes corresponding to Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan—while a secondary high-income cluster appears in parts of the Hartford suburbs and the Farmington Valley. Sharp income contrasts are evident in urban centers, where zip codes in Bridgeport, New Haven, Hartford, and Waterbury drop below $40,000, often immediately adjacent to affluent suburban zip codes, creating some of the steepest income gradients in the state. The rural northeastern and northwestern corners of the state generally fall in the moderate $80,000–$100,000 range, reflecting a more economically homogeneous landscape compared to the highly stratified coastal and central corridors.
